In cars…(part 2 of what looks to be many)

So…still no title.

The DMV tells me the VIN number for our “new” car isn’t even in their system. Apparently, it’s not uncommon for it to take 3 weeks or more to get a VIN number entered, then once it’s in their system, another 7-10 business days for a title to be issued. Welcome to beauracracy, folks.

This is seriously cutting into my podcast-listening, singing-at-the-top-of-my-lungs, acting-just-this-side-of-road-rage time. If it keeps up much longer, I’ll be forced to start doing strange things. Instead of recording frequent, Norm McDonald-esque “notes to self,” I’ll have to start leaving myself voice mail messages as if I’m talking to someone else.

“Hi, it’s me…listen, can you, uh, find that YouTube video? You know, the one with the guy blending all kinds of crazy stuff? Yeah, and just email me the URL? Okay, thanks – bye!”
