Data locusts

Data locusts have taken My Documents (and, by extension, my wife’s stuff, too). I won’t get into the details, but suffice it to say that the idea of backing up feels incredibly ironic to me at this point, since it was an attempt to create a backup that caused this in the first place.

I’m not sure what’s worse – knowing that all those files aren’t there, or being at work when it happens so there’s nothing I can do about it for another few hours…
