i was off kilter saying he only seldom had them deals.i meant to say he always had incredible cards but a good deal of time they werent the greatest stuff and so valuable.profitable ok but to an adult collector you got what you paid for.but with them you got that and then some ill add.im not joking about the unc jordans as theyre practically worthless compared to 10 years ago.but i feel kenny sincerely thought theyd go somewhere as they would sell out all the time.but the overhype on them was w/o a doubt the worst ive ever seen.the cards were guessed at rising in value and for a time did.they were on top for about 5 years,maybe less and for 2-3 years scored very well.but they are got for $20/each in gem mint 10.maybe not entirely worthless to a por collector but completely worthless to an investor who bought many boxes hoping to send his jids to college and then pay off that house and a car perhaps.im talking the big kahunav here ladies and gentlemen! nothing wrong with a twenty dollar bill everytime you sold a card you got for around $4-$5 but when you payed $30 for it and its since dropped to $20 youre screwed basically.maybe sell it for $30 to break even or a tad higher to profit.but these cards were promised to sell for over $20,000-$30,000/set or more if in bigger demand.now at that rate id be a rich man but well a millionaire at least once over with my cards and id be happy.but buyer beware as its not kennys fault or donnys but the nature of the hobby in general.im disappointed in not ken and don but the industry.thats ultimately whose to blame and the poor economy behind it too.im not saying im in full defense of ken and don as my letters dictate otherwise.but im giving them the benefit of the doubt as i didnt become wealthy by any stretch but i might at least double my moneyand basically no harm done.its good i dont have kids but i di have 2 youths in mind who i purposely saved cards for until they were old enough.they will survive somehow but i did try to help them out with the jordans.they seemed so good at the time that if i can reverse matters and say i was ken/don ill bet they being me/another wouldve came my way to buy them gems.its a very unpredictable hobby alot of the time as you dont know whats gonna be here today and gone tomorrow.what comes up must come down and its the same in the music industry.many times robert chambers would say that he wont promise youll get rich with your coins as thats not what that show was about.now thats a good sales pitch and violates no moral ethic code i can think of! i like that.don would tell you if you fail to but cards youd regret it.other way around sometimes.but he also said he estimates and didnt always promise the cards future value.hes just a guy and makes mistakes.hes a gambler who if listened to attentively might get you in the poorhouse.might make you some money too but its tuffs all im concluding here folks to be blunt.if youre not sure about cards then shut up saying theyll be this much later on.say you have no clue but a hunch youll profit big.don had an amazind deal at tna.an auto.sting black bat,auto.card,shirt and all for $175! he puts a 1986 fleer gem mint 10 michael jordan rookie card in a 4 card set for an unbelievable charitable like $1,000! it was the fleer 86 rookie,sticker,1989 unc b/w card,fournier estrellas card all 4 in pristine gem mint 10s.he promised all 4 and that the jordan was the real deal as it was psa dna graded.if that was a $25,000 card at the time wouldnt he just sell it for full price or at least $15,000,$18,000-$20,000 or so?heck even $5,000-$10,000,$12,000 is far better than $1,000 for it plus 3 other decint cards.i shit almost mesas pants as i wouldve rather had gotten that deal but i got ripped off with there other deals and shouldve saved up and stopped spending on the sucky,junky cards i bought.ok,thats $250 for it in this deal.but lets call that $500 by todays standards as the other 3 have gone way low in price.fournier idk as they get big money sometimes.but lets argue $500 today for that card in the deal minus the $500 in value for the other 3 and its a fair estimate ill consider.maybe off a bit but close i feel.so youre telling me hed sell a card worth $25,000-$30,000 at auction and always in demand for 50+ times less its retail price?was it a reprint as it couldnt be if its psa,right?did he ever send it out at all?too bad i didnt jump on that one as i wouldve made sure i got it with a lawyer even if possible! maybe its worth $3-$8 now and maybe $10,$15,$20-$30 in future years/decades.they might even tell you that you will receive 2 gem sosa and mcgwuire cards that are sought after.yeah,they might come from a drakes box and be highly prized among middle schoolers and worth $1 each.there was plenty of great cards thrown in with worthless ones so you never made out properly if you stuck to basics.the exclusive packages were the ones that if you got rid of immediately once gotten in the mail youd easily double your money or make a nice profit anyways.but if youve waited until now with the exception of a few deals you got stranded and spent far too much on them.you might as well sell those auto.cards,rookie cards,gold cards,jersey cards,motion cards,ball cards,wax boxes at your local flea market and or ebay.but you might still get stuck with the majority of your goods as people realize the decline in them nowdays.alot of the stuff they were selling was just that,stuff! First off I'm 23 years old and I got started watching this genius of a program at a friends house late one night. I remember him saying something like "You gotta see this shit, it's a knife selling show and it's LIVE!" Didn't think much of it at the time but when I sat down I was hooked instantly. You can't beat live TV people you just can't, even better you definately cannot beat LIVE Tom O Dell. Anyway that was about 6 years or so ago and I forgot all about the show....until I got cable this week! Knife Show isn't about the knifes at all, or at least not for me. It's about hearing Tom use every crappy cheesy corny sales pitch in the book, and some before the book was written! If you REALLY want to enjoy the show then my advice is before you sit down on the couch to watch (you won't be moving for awhile trust me) grab your bong or 6 pack or 40 or whatever drug/stimulant of choice and just GO NUTS! (we don't judge) I need to make sure I clarify that. If you're a stoner then just bowl after bowl after bowl OR make a smoking/drinking game out of it. You CAN be sober to watch but It's just THAT much better when you're not, lmao. Potheads seriously if you have never seen this show you don't know what you're missing....
