I have to admit, I completely missed Blue’s Clues. It started when I was too old to appreciate it, and I’ve never actually seen the show, but I have adult friends who follow it with a cult-like enthusiasm. One of their pet peeves is the replacement of the original host, Steve, with a new guy named Joe. Well, today, I found out what Steve has been up to since leaving the show.
I’m listening to the stream of his upcoming album right now, and it sounds fantastic. This has got to be one of the odder stories in rock – children’s show host turns alt-pop hipster and hangs out with members of the Flaming Lips.
